Me - A Scrapbook Layout

Scrapbook Layout using one of my favourite paper from Pink Paislee's.

Not many of embellishment used in the layout as the design of the paper itself is beautiful. I have added a flower from Prima and some butterflies using Martha Stewart's puncher.

Cherish the moments for they too, become memories...

Slider Card - 8 Easy Steps for Papier

Slider Card

This week I will be sharing with you on how to make a Slider Card. Its simple, fun and it takes only eight  (8) easy steps to complete a slider card.

Step 1: Using the Spellbinders Nestabilities dies, cut three (3) identical label shapes. Next cut one (1) more label shape using the next smallest die with the paper that you’d like to decorate your front card.
Note: For this project I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities – Lacey Circles.

Step 2: Stick the next smallest die to one (1) of the larger label.

Step 3: Take one (1) label shape and cut off (approximately 6mm) from the top and bottom (or enough to square off the edge).

Step 4: Mark four (4) brad holes. Stack all three large labels together and poke neat holes through all three (3) labels.

Step 5: Cut two (2) identical card pieces for the “pulls” to an appropriate size (you can measure the distance between the centre brad holes for the size).

Step 6: Cut a strip of transparent plastic bag, slightly longer than the “pulls”. Wrap loosely around a trimmed label (the one in Step 4). Use a double sided tape to close the plastic around the label.

Step 7: Stick the “pull” pieces to the plastic with decorated sides facing up (Important: Make sure the “pull” pieces stick to the plastic not the card).

Step 8: With some brads put all three (3) pieces of large labels together. Your SLIDER CARD is now ready to be decorated.

Here you are...simple guides to make your slider card. Enjoy!

Adrenaline Rush - Scrapbook Layout for Papier

My first layout for 2012 - Adrenaline Rush..

For those of you who know me will be shocked to see this layout, especially the photos...well yup...something new for 2012....:) i feel that sometimes I need to shake my routine and challenge the adventure within...

What I love most about this layout (besides the bike) will be the Metal Gears from 7 Gypsies and the jeans material used in the layout.

Most of the embellishment used in this layout is from Tim Holtz Ideology Collection (Locket Keys/ Ornate Plates/ Ruler Ribbon/Corner) and from & Gypsies’ Metal Gear. Besides that I also used some materials which I bought from hardware shop – screw eyes, metal chain and safety pins.

Simple layout to start the year....Vrooom!!!!

FabScraps Teapot Mini Album for Papier

When I recevied my DT kit for Jan 2012, I decided to use some of the materials for my teapot die cut mini album which I bought from Papier a few months back. I have choosen 2 colors from Martha Stewart for the background and of course I used the crackle paint from Tim Holtz for the crackle effect on the surface...(dont know why but lately I've been using the crackle paint in most of my projects....just cant help it)....

First thing I did was to think on the mini album theme. This time around, I would like to have a sweet / garden concept. With that I have selected Summer Haze paint from Martha Stewart for the cover background and I used ribbon from Webster's Pages Bloomers - Kiss Pink and some flowers from my DT kit Jan 2012. I've added butterflies from Martha Stewart's sticker collection and puncher.

Ribbons used for the mini album is from my DT kit and some of it is from Daiso (my fav shop - you'll never know what you can find there :)

The mini album is filled with my nephews and my niece photos - nothing new about that. Thanks guys...you have made the mini album more meaningful and so precious..

I also added die cut shapes from Kaisercraft (Modame Boutique Collection).

Hero Art Stamps for the wording.

The mini album is currently being displayed@ Papier, Curve - thanks to my darling fren who accompanied me to Curve last night....much appreciated. What would I do without you :) xoxo
