Storage Unit by KaiserCraft

What I love most about this project is the patterned paper used. So loving the color of the patterned paper from The Lake House Collection by Kaisercraft. Its so sweet...

Its difficult to do a project without using any pearls to decorate...

Vintage drawer handles...bought it from a flea market and its from the 70's (as informed by the store owner)

If you know me...you will know that red is one of my fav color...that is why I painted the outer part with red...:)

So now I have a place to put my trinkets, buttons, etc....Just Love It!

Altered Book for Papier

Hi All,

I'm sharing with you on my latest project - Altered Book. I've been keeping this idea for some time until I finally found this book (flea market). Love the colour of the cover and I know exactly what to do with it when I first saw it.

I started this project by using a sharp knife to cut the pages out (3D effect). Three patterned papers used to decorate the book. I also used some products from Prima Marketing, Kaiser Craft and Webster's Pages for the embellishments.

Well, that's all for this week. See you all in my next posting. Till then...take care and Happy Crafting.

It has been awhile...

Hi All,

It has been a while since my last posting. For the last 1-2 month I was buzy in getting myself back on track and try to realize that things has changed. Not yet fully recover...trying hard... Well I would say that I would prefer to do what I used to do, be where I used to be, but in life we need to expect the unexpected. But trust me, its never easy....

Enough said on that, what have I been doing...well....I've been working as usual, 5 days a week...9am to 6pm (officially)...some crafting (small projects), baking - as I promised myself early this year by June 2012 I must try something new to upgrade myself with new skills, so I've tried to bake cupcakes...and have came out with my own recipe - Maverick Mix Fruit Cupcake. Some people asked why Maverick...why ya??

Besides baking, I have also started on a new routine for myself - exercise. It started when I went and visited my doctor for my regular check up and he suggested to me to live a healthy lifestyle...to start with exercise, food and reduce stress.

He (my doctor) is right. At my age now I need to seriously take good care of my health. It is important to have work life balance and be selfish when it come to health matters. For a start, I bought myself an elliptical burner and abb bench so that I can do my exercise at home, at least 30 minutes per day (able to burn 600cals/hr). Exercise alone is not enough....food intake is also important - so NO FAST FOOD, REDUCE CARBO...so lets see the result in a month.

Elliptical Burner -Calories Burnt: 600 cals/hr

This is brilliant cardio, and also helps to build strong muscles, and with toning the stomach.

Altered Frame - Always Together (for Papier)

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with another fun project for Papier. This week I have worked on a frame which I bought from Ikea  few months back. Have been keeping it a while and just don't know what to do with it. Finally.....managed to work something on it...and again thanks to my nephews and nieces. Just can't find any other suitable photos for this frame.

I used few patterned papers from Webster's Pages for this project. For the background I used a patterned paper from Sunday Picnic Collection by Webster's Pages and if you noticed the skirts/ dresses used for this project is from Western Romance Collection also by Webster's Pages.

Mini clothes clips - you can find these in 2 Ringgit shop.Interesting shop, you never know what you can find there :)

That's all from me for now...will be back in 2 weeks.Till then Have a Good Day and Happy Crafting..
